This article is a true story of my own experiences about trying out yoga and breathing techniques taught by Ramdevji Baba on Astha channel. I admire this man for his tremendous courage, integrity and patience to teach people simple techniques to remain healthy. We all are madly crazy after these new hi tech gizmos. So we feel only the latest is the best and nothing else can be better. Well, I am a computer graduate myself and serving a senior position in Software industry, and I was of the same opinion. Until a few weeks back I caught a cough that lasted for almost 2-3 months. My doctors had blood tests, Mantoux test, prescribed B 12 injections etc. And yet all of it had no effect. My cough continued for months.
Then along with my regular exercise regime of 40 minute morning walks and I also started doing yoga for 30 minutes for last 2 weeks. All I did was anulom -vilom , and the kapalbhati as Ramdevji taught on the show. And to my surprise my cough situation improved drastically.
If you listen carefully to what message is conveyed during the show, all he is trying to tell you is the cure and remedies are within you. Get your will and energy to concentrate on your problems and you will find the resolution within yourself. At least you will find the strength to combat your problems.
A lot of his therapies seem to work. Even his medicines have done wonders. I was suffering from heavy bleeding cycle for last 6 -7 years. All the doctor did was prescribed me to Pause MF. Now I am taking Ramdevji's medicines for last couple of months and have not required taking Pause MF since then. We are so habituated to be addicted to easy remedies. We want everything so fast that we don’t have the time to wait , go backwards and think what is right or wrong for us.
Our body and health are our means to our work, and we have to take care of it to be able to do what we want to do.
Science is good. And yes we must use it for our betterment. But prevention is great not just better than cure.
Not all sci-fi things work for us. Simplicity is equally powerful. It has power to heal. And power to appeal.
I am amazed by this one man, who has reached every state, every city, every door step so that the people of India can be healthy. His network and infrastructure is one of the finest I have ever seen.
This man is using science, but is using it to reach out to millions, using it to save millions, using it for a truly noble cause.
